Privacy Policy

FlowGallery does not collect your data. Your photos stay on your Mac and on your own server.

The FlowGallery app

We do not collect, store or share any personal data through the app. You do not need an account with us. The app contains no analytics, advertising or tracking, and we run no servers that it connects to.

Your photos and servers

The app connects directly to the Synology servers you add. Your photos, albums and their details, including dates and locations, travel only between those servers and your Mac. Offline copies are stored on your Mac.

Server addresses and settings are stored on your Mac, and sign-in tokens are stored in your Mac's Keychain. Your sign-in details are sent only to the server you are signing in to. We never receive them.

Maps

Maps in the app are provided by Apple. To draw a map, your Mac requests map data from Apple for the area shown, which can be the area where a photo was taken. Apple's privacy policy applies to these requests. We do not receive them.

Downloads and purchases

Apple handles App Store downloads and in-app purchases. We never see your payment details or your Apple account. Apple gives developers summary sales reports. If you chose to share analytics with app developers in your Mac's settings, Apple also gives us anonymous crash and usage data.

This website

Cloudflare Web Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how many people visit this website. It records information such as the page you view, the site that linked you here, your browser and device type, your country and how fast the page loaded. It does not use cookies or local storage, and it does not fingerprint visitors. We see only summary statistics, which do not identify you. Cloudflare's privacy policy applies to this service.

Hosting

This website is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub logs the IP address of visitors for security purposes. We have no access to these logs. GitHub's privacy statement applies to this service.

When you email us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use this only to reply to you and to help with your question, and we do not share it for any other purpose. You can ask us to delete it at any time.

Your rights

Emails you send us are the only personal data we hold. You can ask us what we hold, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing us.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will publish the new version on this page and update the date at the top.
